Migaloo Home at Globaltica – Where Art Meets Design

Migaloo Home’s participation in the exhibition titled “Green Stage – A Tribute to Nature” at the Globaltica World Cultures Festival globaltica.pl, which took place in Gdynia in 2025 at Kolibki Park, was an extraordinary experience for us. This event showed that an artistic furniture board can become not only an element of interior design but also a true work of upcycling art.

In collaboration, @monika.blaszkowska and @daga_galecka, the owner of @suit.me_studio – a designer of avant-garde, less waste-inspired jackets – created an outdoor art installation made entirely from discarded materials, presented in the open-air festival town.

The arrangement included, among others, recycled plastic packaging, waste from medical IV production, wine corks, and dismantled elements from shop displays.
The project highlights the potential of creative upcycling as both an artistic expression and an ecological statement. It serves as a reflection on impermanence, overproduction, and the opportunity to give discarded materials a new, valuable, and artistic life.

During the exhibition, we met many conscious visitors – architects, designers, interior enthusiasts, and lovers of world music – who explored our unique artistic furniture boards with curiosity. They touched the textures, asked about production techniques, and discussed customization options.
Each conversation reaffirmed our belief that interior design can be emotional, bold, and authentic.
The exhibition also drew special attention from the youngest festival-goers, who played around us and the surrounding trees, adding even more joy to the entire experience. 🙂

For Migaloo Home, this was not only a product presentation but also an inspiration to keep creating – combining art with functionality.
Our artistic furniture boards bring individuality to interiors while embodying the less waste philosophy.

Globaltica proved that it’s worth showcasing design with soul and environmental meaning.
We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by our installation – your words and reactions give us the energy to keep creating!

Special thanks go to Dagmara Gałecka – through our collaboration, we transformed leftovers from shop displays (orange lanterns) into a unique upcycling composition with our materials, creating an unprecedented artistic feature for the festival’s anniversary edition: the Green Stage.
