NEW MARBLE – old rags from the closet
Textile panels in the youth chain HOUSE for LPP
We undertook the analysis of the waste from the complaints of one of the largest retail chains in Poland. The waste was items that were given away as a result of complaints – old denim pants, sweatshirts and cotton shirts. These garments were no longer repairable or usable even in social welfare networks. It was from these that NEW MARBLE was created, an extremely graphic material that resembles a splayed slab of natural marble. The client used our panels to build a decorative shelving unit behind the cash registers in the store. In doing so, he created an artistic installation composed of waste materials. Upcycling at Migaloo home elevated these used clothes into an art installation, which took hold in one of the most important places in the store – a place that represents the brand, where it tells a beautiful story to its customers.
