PLASTRYKO – Pride for one of the world’s largest corporations
Reception desk and tables in common spaces made of Plastryko white board for PepsiCo Poland in Warsaw.
A reception desk made from garbage for one of the world’s richest companies? That’s exactly what happened with the help of the MIXD.io and Migaloo home project. We made the board out of recycled plastic – it was ground up bottle caps and post-consumer PET waste. A dedicated important detail of this arrangement was to calm the design (to almost pure white) in the receptionists’ work area. The project manager on behalf of Pepsico Poland, at a coordination meeting on the site, expressed his concern about such a multicolored and vivid tile, the concern was that it would impede concentration at work – to which Monika Blaszkowska, owner of the Migaloo Home brand, responded: “Ladies and Gentlemen, our slabs are made by hand, so we can ensure that the work area does not have such an intense pattern – and the plastic extrudes in a gradation” this is not offered by other companies making standard slabs, in a uniform mix of colors.
The project has lived to see many prestigious awards and publications, photos of the arrangement of this space were always juxtaposed with one detail… our countertop and a view of the main reception area all made of plastic board Migaloo Home and aquarium with pepsi cans. 馃檪
