On October 10, 2024, as part of the Polish Brands Festival at Klif in Gdynia, a recycling workshop was held, led by Monika Błaszkowska, the founder of Migaloo Home. The workshop, focused on creative upcycling of waste, attracted significant interest. Monika Błaszkowska, known for her commitment to sustainable development and eco-friendly production, presented various techniques that can be used to give a second life to items that would typically be discarded.
During the workshop, participants learned how to repurpose materials such as walnut shells, cork, old wallpaper, and clothing to create new, functional products. However, the highlight of the event was the innovative material called Plastryko – a layered board, with one layer made of recycled plastic. This eco-friendly material was the focal point of the workshop, and attendees had the opportunity to create their own samples, customized to their personal preferences.
Migaloo Home, a business partner of Tempur Klif Gdynia, once again demonstrated that eco-consciousness and sustainable development are not just trends but the future of responsible design. The workshop was an inspiring event for all those looking to create with respect for the natural environment.
