Artistic counter made from Migaloo Home furniture panel – project for DALA restaurant in Kraków

For the **DALA** restaurant in Kraków, the **Znamy się** studio invited us to create a **unique counter**, built from our proprietary **artistic furniture panel by Migaloo Home**. From the very beginning, the project was conceived as a strong dialogue between material and concept, closely aligned with the **Midsummer (Midsommar)** atmosphere—nature, meadows, wildflowers, and the Scandinavian way of celebrating food.

The counter was constructed using the **Migaloo Home artistic furniture panel**, incorporating **wildflowers, dried botanical elements, and cinnamon sticks** within its structure. Numerous material tests were carried out to achieve the right balance of aesthetics, durability, and visual harmony.

A key element of the project was the **custom pigmentation of the binder**, achieved by adding **amber sanding dust** sourced from trusted local jewelry workshops. This process gave the artistic furniture panel a warm, natural tone and a distinctive depth rooted in natural materials.

The counter was produced in multiple layers, each one **hand-arranged with carefully prepared dried elements**. All edges were cut at a 45-degree angle, creating the impression of a single, monolithic form. The finished piece integrates seamlessly with the interior design, which is defined by natural materials and a nature-oriented color palette.

This project holds a special place for **Migaloo Home**, both due to the artistic complexity of the furniture panel and the **strong interest it has received from international design and interior publications**.
