JEWELRY WITH PLASTRYKO and amber

In 2023, a collaboration was formed between talented jewelry maker Tomasz Kargul, and Monika Blaszkowska inventor of Plastryko material made from plastic waste. The duo introduced the Rondo collection with Plastryko containing amber to the international arena with its premiere at the largest jewelry and amber fair in Poland. The idea of the collection was to combine precious amber with plastic waste. It was a manifesto against fast fashion. The concept was appreciated by the jury, which awarded the idea with a prize ( one of the 4 main distinctions ) at the International Fair of Amber and Jewelry “AMBERIF” in Gdansk in 2023.

The beautiful, minimalist form designed by Tomek Kargul hosts in its design elements of PLASTRYKO, which was additionally produced in the later period by Monika Blaszkowska in the form of glow-in-the-dark elements.

The jewelry had its show at the AMBERIF 2024 gala at Montowi in Gdansk, where it was presented together with clothes by MONKO . Sporty, velour, comfortable styles were embellished with a collection of colorful plastic and amber. The whole look was extremely inspiring, showing that beautiful, playful jewelry can be worn even with a tracksuit. It was a true triumph of fashion, innovation and a young look on the theme of elegance, junk and precious amber.

As Migaloo home, through cooperation with other designers, we show our material in very different applications. We are open to cooperation proposals for those who would like to create pieces together in the spirit of zero waste . We hope that upcycling is not just a fashion, but a way of life for designers of the future.
